PEG-MGF, or Pegylated Mechano Growth Factor, is a peptide mainly used for recovery after effort. It is known for being able to repair damaged muscle tissue much better than IGF-1.
17 in stock
|Purity:||>98% by HPLC|
|Appearance:||Sterile filtered white lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder|
|Reconstitution:||We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to settle the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute in sterile distilled water or aqueous buffer containing 0.1% BSA to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. Stock solutions should be apportioned into working aliquots and stored at < -20°C. Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions.|
|Storage:||This lyophilized preparation is stable at room temperature when garded from light, but should be kept at -20°C for long term storage, preferably with dessicant. Upon reconstitution, the preparation is stable when stored at 2-8°C. For maximum stability, apportion the reconstituted preparation into working aliquots and store at -20°C. Avoid repeat freeze/thaw cycles.|
PEG-MGF (Pegylated Mechano Growth Factor) is a variant of IGF-1 (Insulin-like Growth Factor) which leads to an increase in the muscle cells necessary for adult muscles to continue growth beyond their genetic limit. Like other forms of IGF-1, PEG-MGF (also known as IGF-1ec) creates new muscle cells and stimulates muscle growth by promoting nitrogen retention and increasing protein synthesis. PEGylation is the act of attaching a Polyethylene glycol (PEG) structure to another larger molecule (in this case, MGF). The PEG acts as a protective coating and the theory here is that this will allow the MGF to be carried through the blood stream without being broken down.
